 | Claudia Fernandez is the director of product management for the Toad and Java development tools product lines at Quest Software. Claudia has contributed to the strategic direction of database tools since early 2000, and has more than 15 years of industry experience working with RDBMS and related technologies. She has presented on RDBMS and Application Performance Tuning at several technical conferences, including South Eastern Oracle Users Group (SEOUC 2001); OracleWorld Berlin 2001; Northern California Oracle Users Group (NOCOUG, spring and fall 2002, summer 2003); Sybase TechWave (2002, 2003, 2004, and 2005); and Higher Education PeopleSoft Users Group (HEUG 2002). She earned her master's degree in computer science, and her bachelor's degree in computer systems engineering, with a major in software engineering, at Instituto Technologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey, Mexico.
Prior to joining Quest, Claudia was the product director and tech services manager at Leccotech, a company specializing in SQL Tuning products that was acquired by Quest in 2004. Prior to Leccotech, Claudia led the development of several OLTP, DSS and data warehousing application projects. She also has experience with database performance tuning. She started her career in the software and database industry as a developer of J2EE and database applications. Claudia co-authored the book, “Database Benchmark,” along with Bert Scalzo, Kevin Kline and Don Burlesson. |
